A+ Autism™ is an educational app for children on the autism spectrum. We bring pictures, words and real sounds together, giving children time to look, listen and become familiar with each one. Soft music, created especially for the lessons by our composer, accompanies every lesson. The app is available in eight languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Farsi. In each language, words are spoken clearly by native-speaking voice artists.
From animals to everyday life
We begin with animals to awaken your child’s curiosity. Little by little, the lessons move from forest animals to pets, family, home and the things children see every day.
See, hear and repeat
Your child sees a picture and hears its name, clearly spoken. Where relevant, they also hear the real sound of the animal or object. Female voice artists guide every lesson.
Each word is shown ten times, in ten different pictures
The pictures show different shapes, colors and sizes, while the spoken word stays the same. By seeing different pictures and hearing the same word again and again, your child has repeated opportunities to make that connection and try saying the word.
Eight languages, created for your child
Your child can explore the lessons at their own pace. Whenever you’d like, you can sit beside them, name what appears on the screen, or repeat a word together. We suggest keeping a few toys from the same lesson nearby. If the lesson is about forest animals, offer matching animal figures for your child to hold and explore. They can look at the animal, hear its name, explore the toy by touch and perhaps try saying its name.
